TO PERFORM at the Brick Church for the Performing Arts in Lovell on Thursday, July 9 at 7 p.m., the High Street Jazz group.

 

LOVELL — The High Street Jazz group of local musicians will perform at the Brick Church on Christian Hill in Lovell on Thursday, July 9 at 7 p.m. This lively group will enthrall the audience with jazz standards, showtunes, and selections from the Great American Songbook, including classics from the big band era.

The group is based in Bridgton and includes Paul Dubrule (piano), Don Gooding (vocals), Janet Gill (vocals), Tom Chandel (bass), Claudia Keller (saxophone, flute, clarinet and vocals), Steve Morrissette (trumpet), Gary Polhemus (guitar), Wes English (trombone and banjo), Carolyn Rhoads (piano and keyboard), John Delea (percussion), Arno Bommer (trumpet), and Ben Gelinas (drums). Their musical backgrounds include Berklee College of Music and the Yale Whiffenpoofs, and performances in many local venues.
