A tip of the hat goes out to Berlin High Nordic skier Cora Treiss, a freshman, who on Tuesday competed in the Division III Nordic Ski Championships at the Great Glen Trails in Pinkham Notch.

In the classical race, Cora took a spill at the start, but came on strong, ending up in 11th place, with a time of 19:08, just 3 seconds out of 10th place. Cora finished the freestyle (skate) race with an excellent time of 20:34, good for eighth overall, which qualified her for the upcoming prestigious Meet of Champions, scheduled for this coming Tuesday, March 12 at the Dublin Nordic Trails in Dublin. Snow and weather conditions could result in a new site. Stay tuned for any changes.
