GORHAM — The Gorham Huskies boys varsity soccer team put together a pair of hard-fought victories, earning a 6-3 road win over Profile before returning home Monday to rally for a 4-1 victory over Lin-Wood. The Huskies showed their ability to respond to adversity in both contests, overcoming a tight road battle against Profile and an early deficit against Lin-Wood.
The Huskies traveled to face always-solid Profile on Friday, Oct. 2, prepared for a tough road test. On the compact pitch, both teams quickly adjusted to a fast-paced game that featured plenty of end-to-end action. Gorham struck first after Andrew Albert drove down the left side and delivered a precise cross into the box. Jaxon Vallie finished the play to break the ice and put the Huskies ahead 1-0.
