To the Editor:

Every summer since 2000, we have come home to Berlin for the summer and every year we have seen improvements to the town we grew up in. Yes, Berlin has gone through hard times, but it seems that finally we are on the upswing and that makes me happy. For every substandard building that has been demolished we have others being renovated. On Main Street we see new restaurants and old ones doing business and expanding as well, and we have seen the spirit that made Berlin a great place to grow up, now a great place to come home to. As an aside, please city council focus on getting us a downtown hotel, that should be where you put your efforts.
