To the editor:

There is one simple reason why our government is now shut down. Republicans, who control the White House, the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives would rather preserve the massive tax breaks they’re giving themselves and their billionaire buddies than protect the health care plans their constituents rely on.
