By now you’ve probably heard that the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department is facing a financial crisis. Unlike other state agencies, Fish and Game gets virtually no state money. Hunting and fishing license fees have traditionally paid for the Department’s programs, despite the fact that these programs serve broad public interests. Fish and Game revenue has not kept pace with the rising cost of doing business, especially as we have taken on new responsibilities.
