BERLIN—At its Wednesday night meeting the Berlin Board of Education was approached with a new idea for future cost savings.

Brian Leclerc, resident and former school board member, brought the idea of switching to a four-day school week, rather that the existing five-day school week. Leclerc said many of the people he works with have been talking about this idea, and he wanted to bring it before the board.
