Thanks to the kindness of a chain of helpers, a tiny gray male kitten with white mittens survived the fire on Main Street and has been returned to its owner’s family.

The kitten, named Love Bug, belonged to Sarah Whitman, 26, who died of smoke inhalation in the terrible conflagration.
