MILAN — Icy road conditions on Monday prompted the rescheduling of some events or early business closures with forecasts of a windy Tuesday as winter weather continues its steady grip on the Androscoggin Valley. Tuesday’s average outdoor temperature was 12 degrees and with wind gusts, the air itself felt below zero.
The sights and sounds of the season are on display: blowing snow; the scraping of ice from vehicles’ windows and pavement; a pickup truck piling Christmas trees in its cargo area as the holiday season fades.
