ANDROSCOGGIN VALLEY — Two people received serious injuries in separate ATV accidents on Saturday.

The first accident occurred shortly before 3:45 p.m. on the Turbine Trail in Berlin. Nelson Rivera, 41, of Meridan, Conn., failed to negotiate a turn and crashed the ATV he was operating. Members of his riding party immediately rushed to his aid and also called 911.
