GORHAM — Chairman Mike Waddell told selectmen at their Oct. 7 meeting that it was “going to be tight” for A.R. Couture Construction Corp. of Berlin to finish the snow storage improvement project before enough snow falls on Main Street to require that it be scooped up, hauled away and dumped in the town Department of Public Works yard.

An early winter, similar to last fall’s, remains a major concern at the town’s Department of Public Works, since unlike last year there is no agreement with Eversource to allow snow to be piled up under the transmission lines.
