BERLIN – One of the favorite traditions of the annual RiverFire celebration is the hundreds of carved and lit pumpkins lined up on the pedestrian bridge for viewing. From simple Jack O’Lanterns to elaborate Halloween-themed designs, the pumpkins draw large crowds to admire the creativity on display.

Carving the pumpkins is a community activity with the Androscoggin Valley Chamber of Commerce providing the pumpkins free to anyone willing to return a finished product to display at RiverFire.
