CONWAY — After Wednesday morning’s recount, the $8.8 police station bond, Article 27 on the town warrant, failed by more votes than previously thought.
Residents voted on the bond, among many other warrant articles on April 9. The official results from that vote were the 1,002 yes votes to 718 no votes. However, it needed 1,032 votes to reach the 60 percent threshold it needed to pass. Thus, it was shy 30 votes.
