BERLIN — A proposed $25.6 million budget for the school district is under review, and it is early in the process that will lead to the city council’s approval of the budget.

The budget, as it stands ahead of two city council reviews on March 9 and April 27, is up 4.45 percent from the 2025-26 school year budget. The 4.45 percent represents a bit over a $1 million increase, $1,094,000. The proposed 2026-27 school year budget is $25,674,908.
