BERLIN — Replacement of the Hillside Avenue Bridge over the Dead River will take place this summer.

City Manager James Wheeler reported to the city council Monday night that Ray’s Electric and General Contracting of Berlin was the low bidder on the project with a bid of $624,115. Coleman Construction of Conway was the other bidder with a bid of $723,330.
