BERLIN — It is early in the filing season of the Nov. 4 municipal election, and some candidates are starting to make known their intentions of seeking elected office or not.

In a post on his Facebook page, “A Mayor for the People,” Robert Cone announced he would seek re-election to the two-year position. A paper form declaring the intention must also be filled out and filed at city hall to make running for office official.
