ANDROSCOGGIN VALLEY — The Androscoggin Valley Regional Refuse Disposal District is the only solid waste district in the state that owns and operates its own commercial landfill.

While the landfill serves the nine members of the district, it also accepts waste from outside the district including other New England states.
