Embarking on his new career in the U.S. Air Force, Noah Giroux was surprised Saturday to be recognized by the Berlin Blackjacks by being asked to do the ceremonial puck drop.

"This evening, we would like to recognize a young man who is no stranger to the Notre Dame Arena. From his high school hockey career, pick-up hockey, broom ball and even playing with the 'old timers.' He has become one of Berlin's well known goalies. Noah is embarking for his new career in the United States Air Force on Nov. 6. We would like to wish him all the best," the team announced.
