Hebron Academy held commencement exercises on May 27, awarding diplomas to 59 seniors from 11 states and 5 countries and provinces. Included in the graduating class was Matthew Scott LaPierre of Gorham. During the ceremonies, LaPierre received the Hebron Award for Academic Excellence in French, an award made by the school's Foreign Language Department, in recognition of his outstanding scholarship. Included in the graduating class was Matthew Scott LaPierre of Gorham. During the ceremonies, LaPierre received the Hebron Award for Academic Excellence in French, an award made by the school's Foreign Language Department, in recognition of his outstanding scholarship. While at Hebron, he was a member of the varsity soccer, basketball, and track teams. He is planning to attend James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia in the fall. LaPierre is the son of Scott and Debra LaPierre.
