A small group of family and friends gathered Friday for a private ceremony to mark the fifth anniversary of the murder of Canadian hiker Louise Chaput.

The group, which included Chaput’s eldest daughter, Corrine, and three close friends, placed flowers on the spot where her body was found stabbed to death just off the Glen Boulder trail. The case has never been solved.
