Looking toward a time when the mill property and the hydroelectric plants on the Androscoggin River may have a new owner, the Berlin City Council and Berlin Board of Assessors agreed yesterday to look into having utilities in Berlin revalued.

In a memo to the board, City Manager Patrick MacQueen had noted that the city and Fraser Pulp Mill “have been living by a letter agreement from 2002 with respect to assessment values on which the Mill, including the hydros, would be taxed.”
