WEST STEWARTSTOWN – An anonymous phone call to Coos County Delegation Chairman Robert Theberge resulted in a decision by the delegation not to finalize a 2014 county budget at its budget session Monday.

In a meeting that lasted over six hours, the delegation conditionally approved a $34.1 million budget that will see a very slight decrease (.68 percent) in the amount to be raised by taxes. The delegation has scheduled a meeting on March 31 in Lancaster to finalize the budget.
