The city's hopes of obtaining federal funds for the $9 million wastewater treatment facility upgrade got a boost last week.

U.S. Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH) announced the U.S. Senate approved a measure that will grant Berlin a U.S. Department of Agriculture waiver to apply for grants through the Rural Development Administration as a "rural area."
