A dramatic production of The Devil and Daniel Webster will be offered by The Unity Club and The Weeks Memorial Library in Lancaster in cooperation with the New Hampshire Humanities Council on Sunday, April 23, at 3 p.m. Tom Burack, an experienced living history performer and storyteller, will begin the program with brief introduction about Daniel Webster and about how Stephen Vincent Benet came to write short story The Devil and Daniel Webster. This will be followed by a ...A dramatic production of The Devil and Daniel Webster will be offered by The Unity Club and The Weeks Memorial Library in Lancaster in cooperation with the New Hampshire Humanities Council on Sunday, April 23, at 3 p.m. Tom Burack, an experienced living history performer and storyteller, will begin the program with brief introduction about Daniel Webster and about how Stephen Vincent Benet came to write short story The Devil and Daniel Webster. This will be followed by a drama-recitation of the story in which six characters appear, each with his own voice and personality.
Mr. Burack will then lead a discussion of the story, the history behind it, and the performance. The program is free and open to all. for further information, call the library at 788-3352.
