The Dummer Energy Committee is looking into the possibility of installing a solar field with the purpose of ultimately providing electricity for its residents. The field would be slightly less than 400 solar panels producing an estimated 175,000 Kw. The hope is that this could be constructed with all volunteer labor from the community. Individuals in town will be allowed to purchase a portion of these panels to supply their electricity needs. The plan is to have the field completed before end of summer. The committee is looking for people willing to purchase the solar panels and commit time to help with the project. Meetings to discuss the project will be scheduled.
