Harvest Christian Community Cafe

Vickie Plourde was recognized for her work with with Harvest Christian Church's Community Cafe and Food Pantry. Plourde is stepping down after 10 years with the two programs including the last six years as director. The community cafe serves a free dinner on Wednesday night that is open to everyone. Generally 40 to 50 people enjoy the weekly hot dinner and conversation. Pastor Robert Haynes said the church has served over 3,300 free meals in 2017. Another 350-450 people used the food pantry monthly. Mayor Paul Grenier was on hand to convey the city's appreciation. Kristin Labonte will be taking over as director of the community cafe.
