COLEBROOK — LaPerle’s IGA, located at 64 Trooper Leslie G. Lord Memorial Highway in Colebrook, has a new electric vehicle charging station. This new charging station, owned and operated by ReVision Energy, is a state-of-the-art direct current fast charger featuring an integrated battery system that can charge during off-peak hours. This design not only eases the load on the grid but also reduces charging costs for drivers. The station can charge vehicles at up to 100 kilowatts simultaneously or 200 kilowatts individually, adding up to 200 miles of range in 15 minutes.

Historically, New Hampshire's Great North Woods Region has been a charging desert, offering few options for drivers traveling between Boston and Quebec or throughout Coos County. Due to a low population density and highly seasonal traffic, Colebrook hasn’t attracted investment in electric vehicle charging infrastructure. However, ReVision Energy, a firm believer in making cleaner energy technology accessible to all, stepped in to make this project possible.
