BERLIN -- Lorene M. (Lachance) Donato, age 78, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the Coos County Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the past year.

Lorene was born in Gorham on August 23, 1928, a daughter of the late Omer and Lonia (Provencher) Lachance. She attended local schools, and was a 1946 graduate of Gorham High School. Lorene was married to Armand Donato on May 19, 1947, and together they raised three sons and a daughter.
