Woodlands Credit Union is on a mission to stress the importance of thrift with its younger members. The credit union wants them to build savings accounts for their futures, just as their parents and grandparents have saved. During October, each time a deposit of at least $5 is made into an account of someone 12 years old or younger at Woodlands CU (via drive-up or lobby deposit), that child’s name will be entered into a drawing for a big bear stuffed with goodies. There will be four big bears in all that will be displayed and raffled; one in each of the Woodlands Credit Unions lobbies, in Berlin, Gorham, Conway and Plymouth. The drawings will be held on Wednesday, October 29, and winners will be notified by phone.
