The Randolph Conservation Commission is sponsoring a presentation entitled Pollinator Habitats and Field Management on Wednesday evening, Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Randolph Town Hall, 130 Durand Road, Randolph.

Good pollinator habitats come in many shapes and sizes, including backyard gardens, old fields, wetlands, forests, woodlands and floodplains. Each habitat supports a unique combination of flowering plants that appeal to different pollinators.  Right-of-ways, roadsides, field edges, ditches and other infrequently mowed areas can support nectar plants and nesting sites. These areas are affected by many outside influences, but with proper management practices, they can provide excellent pollinator habitats.
