Mr. Donald W. Vallis, 71, of 50 Labossiere St., Berlin, passed away Monday evening, January 6, 2003 at his home. He was born in Berlin on March 23, 1931, the son of Frederick and Bella Dion Vallis. A lifelong resident, he attended local schools. He was a sergeant with the Berlin Police Department for 19 1/2 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the American Legion Post 82, a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and of the St. Joseph Parish, now known as the St. Anne ...Mr. Donald W. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and swimming at the Royalty Inn everyday. His greatest passion in life was during his career with the police department.
Mr. Vallis is survived by two daughters, Linda Call and her husband Clifford of Auburn, ME, and Candice Vallis of Berlin; one son, Scott Vallis of Manchester; one sister, Connie Gilbert of Berlin; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one godchild, Cynthia Miller of Berlin, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Richard.
