American Legion gathered to properly dispose of nearly 500 American flags

GORHAM — On Sunday, June 12, the Gorham American Legion Post 82 officers, members and volunteers gathered together to properly dispose about 500 American flags that were collected throughout the year.

If you have an American flag and you would like to have it properly disposed, you may drop it off in one of the "flag" mail boxes located in Gorham and Berlin. You can also drop them off at the American Legion Post 82 in Gorham, where they will be collected throughout the year and burnt at the annual flag burning ceremony, the week of June 14.
