CONWAY — Ready, set, play! The Mount Washington Valley Community Band is set to begin rehearsing for its 52nd season on Tuesday, April 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the Kennett High School band room. New members are always welcome.

The Mount Washington Valley Community Band, also referred to as the MWV Band, is composed of volunteers from all around the valley of all ages and walks of life. The community-based concert band welcomes musicians of all levels, from beginners to people who haven’t picked up their instruments in many years to others who have played their whole lives, and it encourages all to pursue, maintain and advance their instrumental abilities. Dr. Therese Davison, the recently retired Kennett High teacher who now runs an instrument repair business, directs the band. Find out more at mwvcommunityband.org.
