GORHAM — The Medallion Opera House Mega Talent Show Qualifying Round took place on Friday, Feb. 23. The evening provided a spectacular showcase of local talent. Fourteen acts performed and were judged by an esteemed panel of judges, including Benoit Lamontagne, Rachel Fithian, and State Rep. Michael Murphy. Everyone who performed did a wonderful job. Nine acts were selected to perform at the MEGA Talent Show Finals, to be held on Saturday, March 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the Medallion Opera House, 20 Park St. in Gorham. The Opera House is located within the same building as the town hall. The admission fee is $10 per person and $5 per student under 18.

The performers selected to compete in the finals are Dan Aldrich, Evan Dube, Seamus McMeekan, Natalie McMeekan, Nathan Russell, Pablo Flores, BreakPoint, the Bosco Boys, and Nathan Wells. They will vie for a grand prize of $500, second prize of $250, and third prize of $100. The winners will also have the opportunity to perform on the Town Common this summer.
