Celtic Group, Islay Mist Ceilidh, to open the 19th season at St. Kieran

Islay Mist Ceilidh plays music from the Celtic world, including Irish and Scottish jigs, reels, strathspeys and airs, as well as tunes popularized in Cape Breton and other areas of the world.

BERLIN — On Saturday, Jan. 19, beginning at 7 p.m., Islay Mist Ceilidh will kick off the 2019 performance series at St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts.

A ceilidh (pronounced “kay-lee”) is a Gaelic word referring to an informal evening of Scottish traditional music.
