Bridgton Highlands hosted its first tournament of the summer on Saturday, June 27, featuring a Men’s Draw of seven teams and a Ladies’ Draw of six teams. Playing conditions remained ideal from start to finish.

In the Men’s Draw, Dave Chaffee and John Waldie advanced after a challenging opening round against John Russell and David Bernier. They carried that momentum into the final, where they defeated Joe Lanzilotti and Bob Yanuck 8-5, behind Waldie’s net play and Chaffee’s groundstrokes. In the Men’s Consolation bracket, Walt Grzyb and Mark Matteucci secured a victory over Larry Shapiro and Henry Coons.
