YORK 59, LAKERS 44: After a close first quarter down just 3 points as Kathryn Peterson and Helena Sheldrick each knocked down 3-pointers, York took control with a 21-6 run at home Friday night.

With the Wildcats up 34-16 at halftime, the Lakers made a little comeback noise in the third quarter as Samantha Jones netted three 3-pointers to spark a 18-9 run. But, York sealed the deal from the foul line, going 8-of-9. The Cats were 17-of-29 from the stripe, while the Lakers were 7-of-13. York had three scorers in double figures — 18, 15 and 13.
