“It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood… won’t you be my neighbor” as Mr. Rogers famously sang at the opening of each of his Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood episodes. That is what this past Wednesday play day was like. A lovely day in the neighborhood, meeting old friends, making new friends and happy to be alive.  Our new members have already shown that they are willing to be part of our Bridgton Highlands Ladies Golf group and be our new golf neighbors.

The game was to score from tee-to-hole using just three clubs, of your choice, and a putter. I have always found this to be a challenge, as do many others. Perhaps not too surprising is the fact that playing with three clubs and a putter makes little to no difference in the score. A full bag with more club choices gives more opportunities and just three clubs makes decision-making easier. Perhaps, I should reduce the number of clubs in my bag. Never the less, it is still fun and we enjoyed beautiful weather.
