CASCO — Art teacher Evelyn Abrams gave Crooked River Elementary students more time to be creative by creating an afterschool Art Club.
“Students learned about Maine wildlife and plants and then created a mural showing these animals,” Abrams said. “They divided the mural in half to show nocturnal or diurnal scenes. They decided on the scene and how it would be done. Each student was then given a separate panel to paint their animal/plants. After doing this they had to blend the background on their smaller panels to match what they had painted in the larger mural. Every student worked on the background and completed their separate smaller panel.”
