CASCO — Nancy Ruth Leach of Casco, born on August 4, 1934, daughter of Phillip and Dorothy Webb, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026.
Nancy graduated from Gray-New Gloucester High School in 1952. She met her husband, Mark Leach, at Moody Bible School in Chicago. They were married in 1954 and enjoyed 69 years of marriage before his passing in May of 2023. Together, they started their family in Chicago, then moved to Maine where they raised their four children. Nancy was an active member of her community church in Casco, where she also played the piano for many years. She also enjoyed square dancing, snowmobiling, crocheting, gardening, cooking and baking. Nancy worked for Kenneth and David Hancock for a few years before she began her career at the local elementary school as the school secretary. She retired in 1994, then continued to work in custodial, and the cafeteria for many years after. She enjoyed staying connected with many local families and children through the SAD 61 school district, and many remember her as a very kind and caring woman.Â
