TRAILS TO COME — Loon Echo Land Trust has been awarded $142,000 through the inaugural round of the Maine Trails Program. The grant will support continued development of mountain bike–optimized trails at Rolfe Hill Forest in Casco, with construction planned for 2026.
Loon Echo Land Trust (LELT) has been awarded $142,000 through the inaugural round of the Maine Trails Program, a new statewide initiative made possible by the voter-approved Maine Trails Bond.
Established in 2025, the Maine Trails Program reflects strong public advocacy and broad bipartisan support for investing in outdoor recreation, trail access, and the economic and community benefits they bring to communities across Maine.
