HARRISON — Harrison Food Bank will host its annual Neighbors Helping Neighbors Auction & Gala on Thursday, Aug. 6, at the Ronald St. John Community Center on Waterford Road in Harrison. The event is the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year, generating critical support for programs that address food insecurity throughout western Maine.
Harrison Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that no one in western Maine goes hungry. Since its founding in 2017, Harrison Food Bank has experienced remarkable growth in response to increasing community need. What began by serving 16 families each week now provides an average of 40,000 pounds of groceries to more than 1,000 households in 90 western Maine communities weekly.
