University of Maine Cooperative Extension will host a webinar on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, from 6 to 7:15 p.m. focused on building financial literacy and management skills for commercial horticulture businesses.

Chris Laughton, director of Knowledge Exchange at Farm Credit East, will lead a discussion on financial management fundamentals essential for running a successful horticultural enterprise. Laughton draws on his hands-on experience in his family’s greenhouse and nursery business to provide practical financial guidance to beginning farmers.
