Jeffrey S. York, a native of Casco, was promoted to Chief Warrant Officer 5 in the U.S. Army on Jan. 20, 2026, marking his ascent to the highest and most respected rank within the warrant officer corps. The formal ceremony at Fort Rucker, Alabama, celebrated a distinguished career that began in 2003.

A decorated Master Aviator, CW5 York has served the nation with honor through multiple combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. His expertise and leadership have been instrumental throughout his years of service.
