LOVELL — Greater Lovell Land Trust (GLLT) is excited to announce the grand opening of the Nature Play Space at Kezar River Reserve in Lovell on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m.
Nature play spaces, also known as nature playgrounds, are a fast-growing movement that encourages natural play on structures designed around natural elements (e.g., boulders, stumps, logs) in an outdoor environment, an alternative to the plastic, metal, manufactured playgrounds we more often see today. Nature play spaces promote unstructured play that stimulates creativity and imagination, enhances sensory experiences, facilitates social interaction, fosters a connection with nature, and reduces stress and anxiety.
