COMEDY THRILLER, Agatha Christie’s Spider’s Web is being performed at M&D Playhouse in North Conway, N.H. Pictured from left: Michael Albarelli, Bella Kemper, Tim Ostendorf, Jason Stevens, and Zach Poster.

NORTH CONWAY, N.H. — Spider’s Web is Agatha Christie’s second most successful play, surpassed only by her record-breaking The Mousetrap.

A clever parody of her well-known detective thrillers, Spider’s Web delivers a unique blend of suspense and humor. Clarissa, the wife of a diplomat, is adept at spinning tales of adventure but finds live drama much harder to cope with when a murder takes place in her drawing room. Desperate to dispose of the body before her husband arrives with an important politician, she enlists the help of her guests. Hilarity ensues upon the arrival of a wry detective.
