BERLIN — Veteran Coach Karen Turgeon returns and is looking forward to another exciting and successful season of Berlin High School Unified Basketball. For those not familiar with the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association's unified program, it consists of students with special needs along with "partners" who assist them on the court.
As Karen told me, "It was nine years ago that the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association and the New Hampshire Special Olympics got together and established the Unified Sports Program, which consisted of soccer, basketball, volleyball and track and field."
