The Colebrook Mohawks scored five runs in the second inning and then rode the strong pitching of Dana Smith, defeating Gorham 8-1 in a girls Class S softball game in Gorham Monday.

The Mohawks held a slim 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning with two out. A Huskie miscue with two outs led to four straight singles and then a three run homer by Cass to put the visitors on top 6-0.
