BERLIN--Sophomore Jen Landers twirled a one hit shutout and then in the bottom of the seventh inning knocked in the game winning run, leading the Lady Mountaineers to a hard fought 1-0 victory over the Farmington Tigers in Berlin Friday. The win elevated Berlin to (2-1) on the young season.

It was a classic pitchers' duel with Landers working her magic for the home team, and Farmington's Jenelle Thompson getting the job done for the Lady Tigers. Landers faced just 24 batters, walked two and struck out ten. Landers had her no-hitter broken up in the fourth inning by Thompson herself. No Tiger got further than second base.
