On January 16, Berlin hosted the Manchester Flames. Berlin out-shot the visitors in the first period. However, they only found the back of the net in the last minute of play in the period. Taylor Oakes put Berlin on the board with line mates Justin Vien and Trevor Labrecque assisting.

In the second period, the locals continued to out play the Flames. The next goal for Berlin came from Vien set up by Oakes and Labrecque for a 2-0 lead.
